Adding a Systematic column on a Gitzo Systematic tripod is useful when you require additional height as well as quick adjustment of the height. Especially with this extra long telescopic carbon fiber rapid centrer column, the tripod can be made 2m / 79'' taller, allowing truly unique perspectives. This column is compatible with Series 5 Systematic tripods. The safety catch feature, when used together with recent Systematic tripods with a safety button, prevents the column from dropping out of the tripod even if it is inadvertently left unlocked.

The GT0542 is the most compact tripod in the Mountaineer range - a 4-section Series 0 model, featuring Carbon eXact tubing for significant improvements in stiffness and strength, with a 40% larger lowest leg section (diameter: 11.7mm) than its predecessor.

The Gitzo GT1545T Series 1 Traveler Carbon Fiber Tripod makes more efficient use of folded space by accommodating the centre column and head in between the folded tripod legs.
